Due to the fact that we don't want to have a player suddenly jump from 15th to 18th. We are looking at savage species for a method in which to allow someone to become a wererat gradually in game. By using the monster class rules I have put together a version of wererat. Using 3.5 rules and Savage species. I am trying to figure if this was done correctly and figured I would submit it here.
Code:
Wererat
Hit Fort Ref Will Skill
Level Dice Save Save Save Points Special
1st +0 +0 +0 Curse of Lycanthropy (su), Alternate Form: Hybrid/Dire rat (su),
Skilled (climb), +2 wisdom, Low-light vision, +1 natural armor ,
DR: 1/Silver
2nd 1d8 +2 +2 +2 2+Int mod Rat Empathy (su), Weapon Finesse, DR: 3/Silver, +8 bonus swim checks
in dire rat form, Scent in any form, +2 natural armor
3rd +2 +2 +2 Iron will, Disease (ex), Skilled (swim), 5/Silver
Class Skills
The wererat's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are
Climb (str), Hide (dex), Listen (wis), Move Silently (dex), Spot
(wis), Swim (str), Control shape (wis)
Skillled: A wererat at 1st level may use her dexerity instead of
strength for climbing checks. They also gain +8 racial bonus to
this check and may always take 10. At 3rd level they gain this
ability to the swim skill with the same bonuses and ability to take
10.
