...as far as Episode 3 is concerned...

Star Wars has plummeted so vastly downhill since Empire Strikes Back, being utterly iced in my mind by "Episode 1" that Ebert would have to rise out of the grave, grab me by the collar, and tell me, "No, man! It's as good as Citizen Kane!" for me to even consider seeing it.

This is another case of it's my own problem and I'll be recieving the necessary therapy, but I still get strange tics and nausea when I think of Jar-Jar, the destruction of yet another DeathStar, and the rest of that travesty...

That's too bad, man. I'm greatly anticipating the new Star Wars. It can't get here fast enough for my liking. :)

Anywho, this thread isn't about Star Wars, it's about the movies of 2004. I shan't continue with my Star Wars blathering...

And just to keep it on-topic: I am looking forward to the Garfield film only because I love the character. I'm interested in what it will look like. The trailer will probably make or break it for me for seeing it in the theater. It is not on my must-see list for 2004, tho.

Considering Roger Ebert is still alive, one would have to wonder what he's doing IN the grave in the first place. :D

But Gene Siskel rising up and striking the lightsaber, now THAT would make me go see it.

Who am I kidding! I'm going to see it anyway!!!!

Darn, I got them mixed up again...

Someone wanna hand me a slice of crow on this one? ;)

In the immortal words of jdavis:
Parts of episode one were great and other parts had Jar Jar in them.

As for me, new Spider-man, Pixar and M. Night movies will be a must. I generally don't pay to much attention ahead of time, so pretty much everything mentioned in this thread is news to me (at least the fact it will be out next year).

That's not a bad way to look at Episode I. I didn't hate him as much as most people do. I actually find him to be a tragic character especially after reading the novelization of the film by Terry Brooks. I thought he was an okay character. But I'd rather see Jar-Jar than an Ewok ever again. :)

Dammit! I couldn't resist the Star Wars lure...

Ah, something OT! - http://www.latinoreview.com/films_2004/wb/troy/teaser-poster.html

The Troy teaser poster. Have at it! :)
