What a crop circle!

cremators have said it is nearly impossible to turn human bones to ash. The way do it is by burning the body and then putting the bones into a special machine, which crushes the bones between large iron balls. .

i will not take a stand on spontaneous combustion or crop circles, but human bones burn real darned easy, in my quest to create bone ash rather than by it(for ceramic glazes, i am not an odd-ball occultist, i am a normal oddball) i have burned the entirety of many a skeleton with thicker and denser bones than a human, including the supposedly impossible to destroy jaws and teeth.

Have to agree, it may take some heat but bone will burn. Little known fact, this is what 'bone china' is made from, bone ash.

Yeah, Spontaneous combustion has pretty much been explained. The idea that you could just burst into flame for walking into the wrong spot (magnetic fields have been blamed) is pretty freaky. So, that's one phenomenon down, and "N" to go.

Sometimes the only way to get the color you want is to throw a body in the kiln. :)

I never said 'nuh-uh!' look at my other post for crying out loud. I am mentioning only what I know and understand - take what you will from tthere.

Sorry to confuse you Xeriar, only the part of my post that directly answered you was directed at you. The rest was for the general populace. I would have made this more clear, but I was already typing waaay too many words for a subject I have marginal interest in at best.

As I said before, I've never said what I think is causing crop circles. What I'm a proponent of is learning what you can from both sides of a subject before reaching a decision. This is something many people don't take the time to do. The closest I come to a position on the subject is, "Neat."

Crematoriums do not burn at a high enough temperature to turn all the remains into ash, mainly because it is too expensive to maintain the high temp for long enough, while maintianing adherance to health codes. A mill is used as was described. And most people are warned by the funeral director not to look into vessel if they keep the remains, as there still may be bone chips, etc... left over.

Trained as a funeral director/mortician.
