What Alignment do you prefer to play?

Wow... Good over Evil 18-to-1!

I voted NG myself, but with the number of people that seem to like playing Evil characters, I hadn't expected 18-to-1...

Alignment is one of the last things I fill out on a character sheet... right after height and weight.

I find that most of my characters tend to NG or LG, but then I do enjoy playing fanatical clerics and odd ball sword mystics

I tend to play Lawful Good types because I like playing heroes who not only do good, but do it in the right way. And yes, it does tend to parallel my philosophy if not my practice (spirit willing, flesh weak and all that, you know ). It can be summed up as follows:

1. The laws are there to promote the rights of the indivdual and the good of society as a whole.

2. When circumstances change and the laws no longer do so, it is time to amend the laws.

3. It does not hurt to be disciplined and organized and to have a plan.

Well, it's either N(L)G, or L(N)G, depending on mood and day of the week. And, yep, that's prety close to the personal alignment.

A certain amount of order is good, but rigidity = stagnation = death, and anarchy = decay = death. But I prefer a little more order than chaos, and find the ultimate chaos to be abhorrent.

But I definitely prefer Good over Evil.

Neutral Good.

Every online alignment test I've taken has pegged me as True Neutral, and I believe I am, but I prefer playing Good. I am incapable of playing Evil, and Lawful makes me sneezy (to borrow a phrase).

My DM suggested my char have a "paradigm shift" to Lawful Good, and I almost choked. Maybe someday, but not now. Still getting used to RPing again, I need a comfort zone.

Lawful Good Here

Almost always I play a good aligned character. More often than not, it is Lawful Good. Please note that LG does not mean Lawful Stupid nor does it mean my character has to go around chastizing those who are not LG or attempt to convert them to LG-ness.
Yes, LG pretty much hits the nail on the head for my personal views as well. "Do what is right simply because it is the right thing to do."

I'll usually play any heroic (non-evil) alignment. I've had the most fun with a LN tight@SS.

i end up testing as NG (and do love playing that alignment) but CN is best--ultimate freedom. no problem about getting in character that night since the mood can change like the winds.
