What am I missing this fall?

Meh.

I don't know if there is a shortage of new genre shows or I'm tired of the same old thing. Not really excited about Andromeda's new season. I'm watching Enterprise with skepticism (Manny Coto, the new showrunner, must prove he's anti-Braga and impress me). Alias won't be on until next year. Tru Calling won't be on until November. Only two sitcoms, Father of the Pride and Joey are worthy of my attention ... for now. I thought Jack & Bobby pilot episode was interesting but I figure the nostalgia will wear off.

I'll let you know about the Saturday Morning competition later.

Um, I hate to be the bearer of some bad news...

Apparently, not only has Tru Calling been pushed to 2005, but they ONLY have a 6 episode order. They are the closest they can possibly come to being canceled -- without being canceled.

If ou have HBO , The Wire is beginning its third season this Sunday. My favorite police drama, full of the tragedy and banality of the system and the human condition.

Thanks for the heads-up. I was completely unaware of this.

Well, they could've been put on "Hiatus". ;)
The rumor is that Fox was originally going to pick it up, but got cold feet after the contract was signed, so they're doing the barest minimum according to the contract. Hence, six episodes.

Didn't know that Alias wasn't coming until 2005...

But I'll be following:

Smallville

And watching whenever I get the chance:

Chapelle Show
Queer Eye for the Straight Guy
Family Guy
Futurama
Vector Bros. (Only saw one ep., but this show is great. This is how Johnny Quest should have been.)

On a similar note, anyone know what is up with the HBO show Carnivale? Did it get cancelled?

I hear it was just a mini-series. Ron D. Moore will have a very busy schedule producing the new BSG series on SCI-FI.
