Other...

Bills are what stop me playing more

food, gas, electric, etc.

If i didn't have to earn money to pay these i'd be able to play more

[ ] Other - Being a small family with only one car makes travelling to games difficult for me.

My wife is incredibly understanding and permits me to game about every two weeks. I think my best solution however will be to run a game at my place.

Other, my parents don't like me 'wasting' too much time on this kind of thing, even though my marks are superb and I've been given early admission to University. *shakes fist*

Darn it! I posted the gas prices from my corner station hoping for some sympathy, instead i find out everyone else is paying, like, $0.40 more per gallon.

That's what happens when you post to an international message board... ;)

...or less, in some cases.

So the biggest hinderance to gaming is that fellow gamers aren't available enough. Are most people afraid to move on and kick 'inactive' people out of the group? Is it better to start a new campaign or just keep going and invite new gamers?

I find it hard to invite new gamers. Where do you find them?

For my group, it went from too large to too small. Real life, like people moving away, does that. So I wanted to invite one more person to the group. Pandemonium! Lots of email flames galore!

For my circle of friends, I already know who games and who doesn't. I would have to go outside my circle of friends to invite a new gamer, or, judging from the above reaction, a whole lot of new gamers (and make a whole new group). I don't know how to meet them, and I've yet to see a working Toronto gaming classified.

I find that if a player misses over half the games for a lengthy period of time without a good reason, it is best to drop them from the game to make room for new players. My current campaign has been going on for nearly 5 years and only one of the original players is still in the game. Most of the rest have been with me for a year or more, but only the one has been with me the whole 5 years.

Other. None of the other options really suited me except maybe "other hobbies". Work rarely interferes with gaming. Other gamers are usually available about as much as I am so that ain't a problem. My wife, who doesn't game, doesn't prevent me from playing, but I also like to spend time with her. There's just not enough time to do everything I want to do, including game.

Well, at our store, we have a large bulletin board where players and GMs can post requests for games/players. So, check out any local hobby or game stores. Also, if any of those stores have a playing area, try running a few sessions of your game there. Often people will come in, see a game being run here and ask to join it. Good luck finding new players!
