What are the effects of a ghost's items when it possesses someone?

How do you handle a ghost's magic items when it is possessing someone using its Manevolence ability?

Do they become completely nonfunctional?
Do they just effect the ghost's mental state but not the possessed body?
Do they work at full effect including the possessed body?
Other?

Also, how about any magical items the body may be wearing?

Much of this is applicable to Magic Jar as well, since that is the basis of the ghost's ability.

Much of this is applicable to Magic Jar as well, since that is the basis of the ghost's ability.

A ghost does not really have its own items; it has "ghostly copies" of its items. I recall reading something that noted that if you found the ghost's actual corpse and removed its items, the ghost would at that time lose its copies of the items.

In the absence of some sort of quote from the rules, I would rule that the ghost loses the benefits of its items while possessing someone else (and instead gains all benefits from the victim).
