What are the guidelines for creating LEgendary Classes?

I wanted to try my hand at making a few Legendary Classes, and give regular PrCs and monsters a break for a bit. Does anybody have any guidelines, anything, that maybe FFG set down for creating them?

Blackshirt,

It tells you how to create the classes at the beginning of the section. As far as design guidelines go, it's unusual for a company to release such things except to their employees and contractors, and then it is under a non-disclosure agreement. Still, it should be fairly easy to compare classes from the four books and look for patterns in the design of the classes.

In addition, the guys from the netbook are getting a fair amount of experience making them, so maybe they'll have some tips! :)

I want that netbook!

The legendary classes in PoMagic & PoShadow are like the ArchMage, Heirophant (see Forgotten Realms) and Arch Psion (See the Mind's Eye WoC).

They are 5 levels in length and have rather severe requirments, for many a PC will need to be 15th level and some are unique, "There can be only one". The special abilities are a group of related abilities and the PC may choose among them, 1 per level.

Alright, that at least gives me a bit of a hint as to how I could go about creating them. I think I may cut down my current order(probably in half, to 300 some dollars) on ENWorld to get the path books sooner.

I know that there's a thread detailing these, because I quoted it on my recent House Rules PrC query. Go to House Rules, set "threads shown" to the last month, and sort by thread originator (click on the yellow text at the column's heading.) If you head to the "P"s, you'll find my thread, and the link is in there.
