What are you reading? [July]

Just started The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. I picked it up due to the hype, the author is a gamer, and the plug from G.R.R.Martin. It's described as a fantasy Robin Hood meets Oceans 11. I'm only about 50 pages in, but it's ok so far.
Mine's in the mail :)

Let us know if you like it or not.

I'm not normally a fan of alternate history books, but figured I'd give "Termeraire: In the Service of the King" a try. ('Cause dragons are cool.)

This month, I'm still reading The Once and Future King as well as a book about the theology of the Catholic Mass entitled Why We Worship. I'm also reading The Collected Poems of W.B. Yeats and am reading Bridge to Terabithia to my children.

Herodotus book 6, Under Illefarn, Tome of Magic, Horus Rising, Conan Unchained!, A Book of Versus Monsters, House Atreides, and House Harkonen.

I finished House Atreides and Under Illefarn.

Books I read to my son:

Goodnight Moon, Time for Bed, My Friend Bobby, Planes!, Trains!, Babybug, Joshua by the Sea, It Looks Like Spilt Milk, Feathers for Lunch.

At least those are the ones I can remember from this month :)

I've finished The Eyes of God by John Marco and have started the sequel, The Devil's Armor. Eyes was good but not great. The characters were okay, but never really struck me and the story was interesting, but the narrative structure seemed a little awkward.

Well I finished Realms of the Underdark yesterday and started Daughter of the Drow today. Going to read through the entire Starlight & Shadows trilogy in the next couple weeks. In the post today were another 3 Realms novels (Blackstaff, Bloodwalk and The Dream Spheres), and I've got another 4 on my to-read pile also. Should see me though till the end of August.
