What are you watching in (late 2025 and) 2026?

I just finished watching Boss, with Kelsey Grammer as the mayor of Chicago. It was pretty good, obviously the idea that an American politician could be corrupt is wildly improbable, but he is effective, and it's well acted and produced. It's a shame they didn't get to make more of it, there were some interesting seeds sown for season three.

Finished Silo....I might need to read the books....

Started season five of For All Mankind.... Can we please move on from Ed? Please?

I think Netflix has finally convinced me to drop them for a few months. And go with Disney for a bit.

We just watched Babylon, the movie from a couple years ago. Man I hated that dark tunnel scene so much, it pretty much ruined the experience for me. I was ok with the other dark aspects, but that was just not something I ever need to see.

We watched the first episode of the recent tv series adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo, on PBS. It has a good lead actor, and the production looks very good, but the rest is very by-the-numbers. It feels choppy in places, and does this annoying thing of - multiple times - showing us flashbacks to something someone said 20 minutes earlier in the episode.

Kevin Reynolds' 2002 film (with James Caviezel, Guy Pierce, Richard Harris - and Henry Cavill!?!?) is thoroughly entertaining, and I would rather watch it yet again that another episode of this series.
