There are many types of people, and I have noticed that people who fall into the "gamer" group frequently fall into various other groups. I will list them here:

1. Computer nerd/geek.
2. Facial hair/non-status quo hairstyle.
3. Percussionist.
4. Monty Python addict.
5. Slightly socially disadvantaged.
6. Intelligence somewhat above average.
7. People who enjoy Tolkein.
8. Liberals.
9. People who don't care about how their clothes look.

Which categories do you fall in? Post them here. I'm interested in finding out how on target I am. Incidentally, I belong to all of the categories.

1 (I was a Computer Science major but am now a Digital Media with a focus on Computing in Media major. I may get my Masters in Computer Science)
5 ( I have never been in a relationship. I have lots of friends though. ;-)
6 (I am in the 98th percentile)
8 (Once I am less poor I will be a card carrying member of the ACLU)

Though 1 is only slightly and may vary depending on definitions.
What exactly do you seeing a computer geek/nerd being?

1 (I'm a programmer for a living), 5 (I'm 26, live alone, and don't have much contact with people outside of work and my weekly D&D game), and 6 (at least, according to standardized tests when I was younger). Maybe a bit of 9.

I'm #6 and somewhat 5 & 9 (although I'm married and I do iron my button-down shirts occasionally - just not very well...) :)

1. I've been using computers since I was four. Back then, it was mainly disassembling disks, though.)
5. Okay, so I play up with the madness, and talk strange. It keeps the irritating people away.
6. Haven't been tested, but I think my school numbers can prove something.
7. Of course I enjoy Tolkien. Lord of the Rings is the best book ever written!
9. Well, as long as they're not visibly dirty, unnecessarily bright-colored, or smell funny...
