What class can you not bring yourself to play?

Paladin. No thought required.

I am a stuck-up, stick in the mud self-rightous judger of others in real life looking for spirituality. Why play one.

Since they work exactly the same why do you put up with it for those two classes but not Wizards?
'Cause I get something else cool in return: with clerics the ability to turn undead, and with druids, animal companion and wildshape.

I can't bring myself to play a barbarian. I dunno... maybe it's because "barbarian" connotes a culture and not a singular class of person. I've decided that when I get back into the DM chair the house rule is "Barbarians out. Savage template and Berserker class from Waking Lands in".

I tried, I really, really tried but every warrior-type build I tried to put together would always derail away from the Barbarian and go Ranger/Fighter instead. It's the Rage mechanic! I can't stand the whole gain HPs and lose them after the rage ends, don't want to play a warrior who needs a Cleric-IV stat everytime a battle ends...if you're going to give temp HPs then give temp HPs, don't dangle them out there and take them away bah!

I have and will play any other class (favs are wizard, fighter, and rogue), straight-up or multi-classed, though I refuse to ever play a multi-classed caster. Full-caster progression is far too powerful/important compared to alternative abilities gained from PrCs or multiclasses that delay caster progression.

I won't play a druid, as I have a very dim view of paganism (I do have them in my game, though).
Doesn't that make it fairly hard for you to play a cleric too in the vast majority of D&D games?

I would not want to play a bard. I have never played a bard and if I remember correctly I have only once introduced a bard as an NPC. This has nothing to do with the 'power' of the class. I simply don't like the concept of bards. I acknowledge that they do fill an archetype (which could be filled in other ways though), but I just cannot help myself and dislike them.

Paladin as long as there is the risk of losing class powers when the DM disagrees with my roleplay, definition of good/evil, and interpretation of the paladin code.

A bard I just have little interest in playing, although I think the bardic lore power is one of the coolest in the game. I really don't have any interest in playing a musician or oratory encourager. That might eventually change though.
