D&D 5E What class do you think people argue about the most?

What class do you feel people argue about the most?

Was def there back in the 3E days, though during 3E stuff eventually codified into the tiers and it was generally understood "You cannot have anything remotely approaching a balanced party with just the base classes"
I guess, I only played 3E for about a year, but played d20 SW more, which in case the "Jedi" were sometimes more an issue... but I still found things balanced enough that other classes represented well.

And? Your lack of experiencing that argument doesn't mean it didn't happen, only that you didn't experience it.
Tree falls in forest? Was I there? No? Then it means nothing to me. 🤷‍♂️

But, I have heard people "discuss" the issue and make claims it was back in AD&D, which I have TONS of experience in having played it for nearly 3 decades--and still never experienced a problem like this claims to be.

In 1ed this was not a problem. It started to appear around mid 2ed. When theorycrafters discovered that summoned monsters could literally be used to clear a dungeon. In third edition, it became not a question of having the right items but the right level. I have seen a line 18th level cleric killing a CR 23 red dragon solo with a swarm of lantern archon. They were doing ranged touch attack to which dragons were not very good against.

See, I was gonna come in and say Warlords

because people absolutely argue about them the most

Damn, I should have added them to the list.

Also, I'm surprised no Bard votes yet, given how many times I hear comments about how "Bard never should have been full casters".

I must be an outlier because it's one of the 5e changes I was most excited about; I'd long wanted to play a more magical Bard, blending music and magic (like 3.5's Sublime Chord).

Then I saw the Bard class and realized 1) it really doesn't do that, other than having musical instruments as implements, and 2) it didn't give up anything to gain more magic. The class just...has it.

I considering throwing Bards a vote, since I don't think they should ever be full casters (and house-ruled them accordingly ;) ) but this poll was about which is most common, and rangers and monks are definitely higher up. I think I've even see warlocks brought up more than Bards...

Fighters, especially with the fighter vs wizard comparison
Monks, with the Monks Suck question.

(Dis)honourable mentions: Wizard as the other side of fighter vs wizard (the fighter takes most of the flack especially in 5e where a plurality of classes are full casters and a majority are casters), and Ranger which probably used to suck but is now fine.
