What deity does YOUR Cleric worship?

That is amazing. At level 12 you would have 60 HP's from constitution. That would mean you have rolled above a 7.5 average on a D8 to get above 150 hp's. Is your D8 for sale?

Hehe, my 13th level has a miserable 88! :D

I play a gold dwarf cleric of Moridin. Hes 12th level, has a Con of 20, and 150+ hp. With the spell protections he can cast he becomes nigh invincible in combat, except for that time we were in the hostage situation and he had to surrender. He was tortured to death, but he should be getting better soon.

Holy cow. Where do you people find these DMs?

How does a DM decide to do this a player character??

"Hmmmm...let's see, for tonight's session I will put the cocky dwarven cleric in a no-win hostage situation and then kill him. No wait, too boring, let's torture him to death first. Yeah! THAT would be lots of fun for all involved!"

Man oh man, I can never imagine doing that as a DM.

Just out of morbid curiousity, exactly how much detail did the torture scene get into?

Oh yeah, I forgot:

Cleric of Mystra all the way, baby! Magic domain rocks.

Who needs to multiclass or take a Theurge when you can use all arcane scrolls, wands, and what have you?

Truly the BEST domain power going. Period. Oh, and the spells you get from the Magic and Spell domains are incredibly useful as well...probably some of the best too.

Then again, I'm busy interrogating and torturing the party in my PBeM. The PCs simply had no regard for the trouble they were causing, and they thought they could double cross the double crossers before they were double crossed!

But someone will save them from being chained naked to the wall! I'm sure of it! :)

Oh WELL, that's different! If they want to play evil PCs, then they get what they deserve. NOW I can see me doing it as DM too. Thanks for clearing that up. :D

Oh, and how much torture detail are YOU getting into?

Very little detail, but there's been very little torture so far. One guy got "kicked in the junk until he passed out." And one guy had half his teeth broken, and they're rotting in his head.

But that's it! :D

In our current FR campaign, I play a cleric of Shaundakul. With a couple levels of ranger I was able to take the Windwalker prestige class from Faiths and Pantheons. Since Shaundakul is all about travel, I get such goodies as Teleport and D Door, as well as being able to wind walk and analyze portal at will. Best of all, I can put my domian spells on my regular clerical spell list.

My first cleric was a priestess of Idun (in 2e). I remember her fondly as my first character with a real background. She had two jobs in every battle. Silence the enemy spellcaster, and then hold person everyone she could possibly get.

I play a lot of clerics, but most end up being NPC's. The best by far has gotta be Cantrip. He believed that Kobolds should have just as much rights and anybody else. He didn't agree with all of the killing done by his former tribe. He really didn't revear a deity, more of a concept in mind. I don't have his stats anymore. He eventually ascended into a deity.

Hextor.

In a time of war and chaos, there can be no other god to save the world from itself. May the purging of chaos by the gauntleted fist of law be your guide.

It's good to see a man of such conviction and perspicacity :)
