What deity does YOUR Cleric worship?

8TH level cleric of Bane.
The True Power.

Silence!

Speak not his name!
You may call him Lord,
You may call him Master,
You may call him God,

But his name is not to cross your lips, EVER AGAIN!

(I'll take 10 on Intimidate, that's a 23...)

I played a Clr/Wiz of Mystra, but it wasn't fun at all. After he was killed by some drow, I now play an elven rog/asn/wiz who refused to have a patron deity at all (which is quite dangerous on Faerûn, because faithless souls will be punished by being put into the wall of souls around the City of the Dead where Kelemvor resides).

I like playing NPC clerics when DMing because they're quite versatile and easy to develop. I've built clerics of Helm, Tempus, Myrkul, Shar, Torm, Talona, Sune, Malar and Talos and I had lots of fun, especially with the evil ones :D

I play a gold dwarf cleric of Moridin. Hes 12th level, has a Con of 20, and 150+ hp. With the spell protections he can cast he becomes nigh invincible in combat, except for that time we were in the hostage situation and he had to surrender. He was tortured to death, but he should be getting better soon.

That is amazing. At level 12 you would have 60 HP's from constitution. That would mean you have rolled above a 7.5 average on a D8 to get above 150 hp's. Is your D8 for sale?

I plan on playing a Dwarf Cleric in our next campaign. I like the protection domain. The cleric in our current party worships Elohnna (which has not done so well since we have been in dungeons the whole time and she can't use her plant domain abilities).

Hmmm, last time I personally ran a priest I worshipped Larani...
Long live the Lady of Paladins :)

I usually like playing clerics. Currently playing a priest of Pelor in a Greyhawk game; played a priest of Lythander in the last FR game I was in.

Cleric 3 of Helm/Rogue 1, although he'll probably end up worshipping the arch-fiend Belaphagor before too long if he doesn't watch his step.

Yeah baby, so am I. I have just taken my first level as a Sacred Exorcist, perfectly timed for entering the Gwathburg.....
While not playing a cleric, I am playing a Wizard that focuses on Conjuration and Planar magic. He was raised by a Priest of Kelemvor and I will be taking the Sacred Exorcist later on. The lack of cleric levels will hurt my turning attempts but it goes great with the flavour of the character.

My favourite Cleric character has to be Kalil the Living Flame of Kossuth. He went around 'cleansing' people with his purifying flames. He carried around a Flaming Burst Spiked Chain, and as a Fire Archon he had several Fire Mephit followers. It was quite a site. :)

For my very first regular campaign, I was a little unclear of the consept so I got a little silly.

I was a cleric of the god of little furry creatures, "Chinchilla". I made it up.

It was was fun for a little while... But then the Honeymoon was over.

Then a long dry spell for me regarding clerics...
(I tried a Druid at some point... But that really wasn't much better for me.)

Mostly, I played Rogues and Bards.

Now I'm playing Shawe Kayn (3rog/5clr), Priestess of Olidammara. (Or "Oli" as I like to call him.) She represents him in his aspect as a patron of brewing, good times, and getting into (and out of) trouble.

Sure, Oli's got a darker side... But then, don't we all?

I haven't found all but what amounts to about a page in info on Oli, but it's fun for me, comming up with tennints of Olidammaran Faith... Like, all of the alcohol you spill, in a wasteful manner, is saved in the afterlife. (The size of the container depends on what kind of person you are life... If Oli likes you, the container gets bigger, if you harsh his mellow, it gets smaller.) When you die you are dunked into the container head first.

You will go to "Hell" if you drown... Or if the container is too small for your head to fit in. (Very very few people know that if you are quick witted enough to start drinking, you get right into "Heaven"... But they'll wait and see how far you get before telling you that you're in, just for giggles.)

The DM also lets me decide, when I pray for my spells in the morning, whether I'm going to cast "Create Water", or "Create Alcoholic Libations"

The only problem is that the potency of the Libation is inversely proportional to the amount that is created. So if I want to make something that will really knock your socks off, I can only make a little. While Oli is happy to make sure those of his flock are never without drink, he does not want to put his devoted Brewers and Vinters out of buisness... So Libations have all of the proporties of normal drink... Tastes great, less filling, get's you vahshnickered good... But it just, lacks a certain something, that makes hand crafted drink better.

I think it's the only reason the Dwarven Paladin of Moridin in my party doesn't smite me daily. :)

Oh yeah, and you can qualify for Contemplative by Planar Binding a powerful outsider and forcing them to do your bidding!

Actually that's not quite the point of that restriction, but a cleric should qualify automatically anyways! ;)

The NPC tagalong Cleric in my Second World game is an Irish Catholic, with the good and healing domains.

Ahhh, that brings back memories of a friend who played "John the Jew"... It was a FR game, but John was a Rabi. It was... Really really cool.
