What do people think of Cyberrave (from d20 Cyberscape)

I talked about it a bit in my review. I'm still a bit torn as to whether you run a viable game in it.
Thoughts?

Anybody tried combining material with other settings? (Apoc/Arcana)

I read that section of your review and find it interesting to say the least. I remember seeing Cyberscape in a Borders store. I had a little bit of time so I sat down with it. The first thing I noticed in the section was the picture of the person and the dragon teched out. I was hoping the setting would have touched on something of future fantasy, rather than corporate giants. Meh.

I think its tricky to talk about in a way that is coherent.
Shadowrun was the first game I encountered that had fantasy tropes in a near modern setting (i.e. elves riding motorcycles). White wolf came next with a very different take and an extremely modern setting.

Urban Arcana, while it has some similarities to both settings, is really different. Whether you think that it is better or worse it is hard to argue that your 30 odd dollars has not provided you with a new gameworld (as well as new rules crunch).

Even holding for the relative size of the books and the lack of existing d20 material to draw on Cyberrave is fundimentally different in that it seems like it is more of a copy of setting (or a responce to a setting; like arguement someone would make inside of a debate) than a new setting.

Because I'm thinking about it in terms of all these other things I'm having a lot of trouble thinking about Cyberrave -as- a setting by itself. Which was why I asked the question. Is anyone running it? Does anyone use it as the basis for something?
