Is the DM a card-carrying Rat-Bastard? If so, it was probably a frame job just to get you on the wrong side of the law. As every good roleplayer knows, violent vigilante justice is the only answer to your will being thwarted like that.

This was kind of a hard one to ride though. A poisoned DM is a time-sentitive issue. You can't just leave him in the hospital for the whole thread.

Maybe he should have just slept with the DMs wife instead.

Also, keep in mind that Driddle can add fuel to the flame by giving updates and playing them straight -- that's pretty classic Bugaboo technique too.

Back away slowly saying "nice kitty...." Then point to a vague spot behind them and say, "Look! A golden lion marmoset!" and then run when they glance away.

As always, Mr. Noah's advise is spot one. I would add that when fleeing one should always remember to run serpentine.

No, thank God my players don't waste time on this forum with made up threads. You do know that he made this whole hting up. A very unfunny and senseless joke. It is almost like shouting, 'bomb,' in an airport, you just don't joke about certain things.

You want to post a thread like this, perhaps start it with something like, 'hey, this is a joke,' so you don't waste our time if we have serious advice to give. Sure it ruins the joke from your perspective, but it don't make you out to be a jerk either.
