What do you do?

IMC a PC is going the "hey I'm Gimli" route, and has found himself at a lack of feats to take. I imagine this is because of our use of the flaws system from UA, meaning he gets more feats than normal. He's 10th level (dwarf) and has:

Weapon Focus (Great Axe)
Power Attack
Cleave
Luck of Heroes
Weapon Spec.
Improved Toughness
Power Critical
Greater Weapon Focus
Improved Critical
Iron Will
Imp. Toughness again (house rule you can take it multiple times, please don't turn thread into a discussion if that's a good or bad idea)

Lightning Reflexes? Something else? He's thinking Power Charge from AU, which doubles the dice damage when doing a charge action, but I'd rather not cross systems like that if I can help it...

Hope he stops by and sees this.

From complete warrior:

Combat brute
Raptor school (sure the feather thing wouldnt work, but the other two certainly would)
Shock trooper

Those three should keep him busy for a while, and allow for a lot of interesting combat manuevers ;)

Oh, and I changed toughness to be just like improved toughness forever ago anyway, and still allowed it multiple times.. it is a fine option ;)

Lol, he still doesn't have combat reflexes, hold the line, and close quarters fighting? Egads!

Combat Reflexes? It's my guess that most Gimli types won't have a high enough Dex to take advantage of that feat.

But what about Great Cleave?

Isn't there a feat that lets you fight normally while Prone? ;)
Can't remember any action where he fought normally... neither prone nor standing :D

Gimli (in the movie) needs TWF, Quickdraw, perhaps PBS and Rapid Shot for throwing lots of stuff. Whirlwind is on the list as well.

If he uses a greataxe, try (if your DM allows 3rd party books) Two Handed Powerstrike. It allows you to do double strength damage with a two handed weapon (only when making a full attack though).
