Gasp! I would never have expected it!

...though it is interesting to note that D&D 3.0 is falling behind even the dreaded "Other."

Didn't surprise me any. Despite the many VOCAL protest I still hear about 3.0 and the 3.5 "cash grab", people tend to play with the latest toys. I bet there are some gamers out there now who don't even know what the hoopla about 3.0 is and based on these votes, don't care.

yup. i didn't care for 3edD&D back in 1978 and i still don't in comparison to OD&D.

but i prefer it over d02.

Looks like I should have added HARP, Arcana Unearthed & Iron Heroes to the list.

I wanted to get an idea what percentage of people upgraded to 3.5. I also wanted to get an idea of how many people moved on to the shiny new rules-light games like True 20 and Castles & Crusades. I expected higher numbers for True 20 after all the raving about how good it is. Does anybody other than FickleGM even play it? Well, that’ll be my next poll.

I play d20 Modern and D&D 3.5 in about even proportion, but I'm only DMing the latter at the moment, so that's where I placed my vote.

Last campaign(s) I played were Talislanta. I voted "other."

Last campaign I ran was a proto-d20 homebrew, though I'm thinking about switching to 3.5e... Biggest reasons I haven't switched are:
(a) can't see a reason to pay money for the privilege of sitting in my dining room with friends and telling imaginative stories, which we do for free now, and
(b) the rest of my group (bar one) probably doesn't even know there was a 3rd edition, let alone 3.5 (and if they have no interest in learning a bunch of new rules, why should I?).
