What do you want to play? (Just curious not DMing)

What would I want to play

For one, Eberron certainly has grabbed my attention, and I would like to play in an Eberron game.

Or, a Strategic In Character game, like Edena's (over the top) FR Industrial Revolution or Creamsteak's (less over the top) Rokugan IR. Doesn't even need to be an actual Industrial Revolution (and not over the top, but it helps ;)). :)

Don't I wish Eberron was here! Four shops in the entire country and they tend to be very slow in getting new stock. Right now maazon looks good to get Ebrron but unless I pay as much for shipping as I would for the book I will be waiting six-eight weeks!

Ouch! There much with no internet sounds rather harsh to me...

I do hope you have fun. :D Also when you leave for there months you might want to drop a note to your PbP DMs. :)
The three months of erratic posting have begun! Gah!
Gopod thing I don't have any DMs to upset anyway. My pbp gaming extended to Radiant's X-men game. (which I left due to these three months.)

Well, if we can only vote for 1, I'd like a Planescape game, focusing on Sigil.

Also interested in OA and Dark*Matter.

Asmor, this thread isn’t really meant for voting it’s more for idea sharing but considered them shared. ;) You might want to look for the poll thread and vote for your ideas. :)

Not to disagree too much, but I built Conan on a 32 point buy without any magic items (I spent all of a level 20 character's wealth on books with inherent bonuses to gets his stats higher than 32 points). Worked great too.

Here's something I've been looking for ever since I started on these boards, and have NEVER found.

You know how so many heroes of fantasy literature are veritable supermen. Strong, hansome, smart, alert. Think Conan, Aragorn, John Carter, Fafherd, Elric... They also generally have only one or two magic items.

I think this milieu is totally unrepresented on these boards. You can never build Conan on a 32 point buy. Also, by the time PCs become epicly powerful, they are absolutely weighed down with magic. Covered with amulets, belts, rings, quivers, and bracers.

I want to be able to play in a game where I can play an epic character, but not a dnd epic character. I want to be able to play the Monkey from The Journey West, or Herculese against the Gods. The Epic rules and deities and demigods really never satisfied these architypes for me. Seriously, although deities and demigods and the epic rules COULD make a character like the Monkey God, it would undoubtedly be weighted down in too many magic items and extranious bits...

I also want to play something abnormally versitile in the dnd sense, like a 6th level gestalt or something. I have so many ideas that basically have to be 18th level plus (and I don't enjoy much past 12th-15th level) to be played, but could be Gestalts at 7th and 8th levels and be satisfactory. One is the (using complete warrior) swordsman that can both reflect spells (occult slayer) with his sword, and channel his own magical energy into his weapon, and can wear full plate without losing his casting (two other PrCs). I want my sword to explode in 20 feet when I charge it with fireball, and I want chain lightning bolts flying from my arrows with arcane archer... and all these other rediculously over-magiced video-gamy characters that I think could be so fun for combat...

And I want to fight in coliseums against pit monsters and gladiators! Though, actually, I'm thinking of a really cool region to add to LEW containing an underground coliseum ruled by duergar that could make for a great bit of fun in that general direction.

And... And... And I want to play in a mecha game... but I don't have the old battletech rules and don't like the d20 ones...

And... um... I want to keep LEW going. And I want the Psionicle to continue. And I want another long-term game that lets me play someone as detailed as my old Lezard character that never got going...

The list goes on and on.

Ah, didn't realize there was a poll thread. Hehe. Well, consider my idea a Dark*Matter game set in a modernized, oriental Sigil.
