Some of my most memeroable campaigns come from:
- Ars Magica (every edition)
- Warhammer FRP
- GURPS Fantasy
- Shadowrun
I even had some good time in in 2nd AD&D.
For me, the systems holds minimal importance in enjoying the game. It is the campaign itself. Now a system will determine the boundries for the GM for a campaing, but it will be the story that will keep me going. And the people I am playing with.
I think d20 is nice basic system. DnD still is DnD, with all its cows (for good or bad) but d20 Modern and systems like Spycraft have realy made the d20 mechanic shine.
-The Luddite
