What have you kept from 3.0 in your 3.5 games ?

I only have a few I can think of off-hand:
Spell Focus gives +2, there is no Greater Spell Focus.
Power attack is half benefit for off-hand weapons, and half-again benefit for two-handed weapons (and one-handed weapons wielded in two hands) - this basically makes it an increase to the Strength bonus.

Um... those are pretty much the only things I can think of off-hand. I might let Improved Crit and Keen stack as well.

I have a bunch of other house rules as well, but these are the only ones that are sort-of 3.0 throwbacks.

Very little...

Spell Focus is still +2 (tho, Greater Spell Focus does not exist, or maybe will be changed to a high level prerequisite).

With some spell durations (animal buffs, Invisibility, Fly, Polymorph) we went a middle way and made them 10 min./level (ok, in some cases, that is the 3.0 duration).

Polymorph is still Polymorph Self, that is, personal. There is no Polymorph Other other than Baleful Polymorph (and Polymorph Any Object later).

Not quite certain about Darkness yet, maybe that will stay 3.0, just because the 3.5 version is kinda lame (OTOH the 3.0 version is pretty unbalanced). ;)

We use both the 3.0 and 3.5 animal buff spells (choosing between long duration but random effect, or short duration but set benefit)

Does anyone actually use the new ones then?

I do. I'm planning on changing them at some point, I just haven't written them down yet.

So far, they're still very useful.

But you do not have the option to use the old ones as well, or do you?

The question was specifically meant when both are available. :)

Oh, another pre-revisionism: the Power Word spells. I find it illogical that Power Word, Blind is easier to cast than Power Word, Stun. It affects more hit points, lasts longer, and is IMO more dramatic (losing sight compared to feeling woozy).

Why not the other way round (+1 for SF, +2 for GSF, total +3)?

Because the problem wasn't with Spell Focus, but with Greater Spell Focus. (Various designers said as much, BTW.)

I know "3.0" is not quite the proper name for the 3rd Edition, but it get's my point accross quickly.

So what have you kept from your 3.0 games to use in your 3.5 games ?

Thanks.

I kept Keen/Improved Stacking, - a few spells that don't exist yet in 3.5, the 3x spell focus feats, some 3.0 regional feats,

I am thinking about using the old cover/concealment rules and the old darkness adn maybe the 10min buff durations and scry skill -- maybe
