D&D General What Is D&D Generally Bad At That You Wish It Was Better At?

I've done Conan's Hyborian Age with D&D (PF) before easily. Most Sword & Sorcery falls into D&D's rucksack. What problem were you having?
Not me specifically. I was using those as examples. Middle Earth though doesn't have it's protagonists casting fireball, dimension door or teleporting. Gandalf doesn't cast Wish or similar. The power level as it were doesn't work. Although this assumes you still use all 20 levels or close enough.

You named one, and it doesn't have the flaw you claim it has.
Sure it does: the language used prevents a group from playing Cowboys & Indiansâ„¢ or any other way except the way the game's designer(s) intended. That, is a bad game.

If my group wants to play Shadowrun using Pathfinder, I'm going to do it, and the game's designer(s) allow it with Rule 0.

I’m the same. Social interaction is pure role-playing. Charisma is for reaction rolls and followers/hirelings, nothing more.
And general physical attractiveness / repulsiveness; and an informer of roleplay for both the player and the DM.
Int and Wis should be for mana and spellcasting, not as a floor or ceiling for the player.
Disagree - again, they should also be informers of roleplay. If you dropped an 8 into Int you're playing in bad faith if you roleplay the character as a genius.
