Mechanically;
Warlocks spam eldritch blast over and over again augmented by invocations, and get their spells back during short rests.
Sorcerers augment spells with sorcery points to give them twists to fit the situation.
Wizards specialize in one of the eight schools of magic and focus on that.

Imagine three students, one studies very hard for the tests, another one is extremely lucky and aleays guesses the right answer or knows it by intuition and the last one sleeps with the teacher. All three pass for different reasons

Wizards are bookworms. Sorcerers are magical creatures. Warlocks wield a power not of their own.

Wizards are flexible and can prepare for anything. Sorcerers are forced to adapt the few tools they've got and Warlocks are at the whim of whatever entity gives them power.
