I was thinking of a paladin I played who was crazier than Beowulf in John Gardner's Grendel. According to his god any actions he took in the pursuit of LG were justified as they served the god. He would give evil folk he bumped into one chance to repent and go join a good church, but if they didn't he hunted them down and made them repent for their sins with their life.
All depends on your definitions of good and evil, but I have seen LG celestials act in this uncompromising, intolerant manner before. Why not mortals, too?
