D&D 5E What is my best bet for some cheap, decent miniatures?

I've got over 1,000 pre-painted D&D minis from the old line (i.e. not the WizKids ones). I built up my collection over time, but got it to the point that I have the right mini, or a close representation of it for most encounters. They're definitely the pride of my collection. Cost a bit of money, but I'm glad to have them.

I certainly don't regret moving to use of pogs and/or cubes instead. It cuts the size of my kit and my battlemaps by a large factor.
I recently did this for my "travel" kit. Except I use Roly People Pawns which massively cut down on the amount of stuff that I haul around (I believe I have another thread somewhere where I ask about kits for taking stuff around).

Around the table, though, I use Pathfinder Pawns. Easy to store, cheap, and a great variety.

My GM/DM uses figures still, though, so I have to admit they do have a special charm!

It's worth pointing out: LEGO minifigs are not perfect, but close enough to get the job done and an insanely cheap option, especially now that you can buy a "random minifig" for a dollar in most checkout-lines at major retailers. You can also buy large sets of minifigs for about the same price-point.
