If I'm the one doing the despising or mocking?
Even split between halflings and elves.
The one thing that really sold me on Eberron was that it managed to make those races interesting.

At our gaming table the most despised races are the miniature humans that 3rd edition made out of the gnome and halfling.

I never played with a group that like gnome, I hated the little bugger.
I think it's mostly the description in the player's hanbook that sucks.
they where always describe like a prankster, like the sprites and other feys.
But with the new description in the book Races of Stones, I find them les stupid.
