what is the rarest class race combo?

Thinking thru all the 3e/3.5 campaigns I've participated in as a DM or player, these are the combos I've never seen played or used for NPCs:

Gnome Druid
Gnome Paladin
Halfling Paladin
Elf Paladin
Half-Elf Cleric
Half-Elf Fighter
Half-Elf Monk
Half-Elf Paladin
Half-Orc Paladin

In summary, not a lot of Paladins, and not a lot of Half-elves...

I haven't seen half-elf *anything* since 3.5 came out.

I have in Eberron. In Eberron half-elves are "cool." They definitely stand out as a different race than just "half elf, half human." Plus, they have a few of the best Dragonmarks.

However, I agree outside of Eberron.

Judging from the previous responses, probably the one that I would play. So far I have a dwarf bard, dwarf wizard, two aasimar wizards, elf monk, and I've recently written up class variants for halfling and mongrelfolk paladins.

Whatever it is, it has to be a gnome. I've never had anyone play one in a game I was in, and I never have been in a game where anybody played a gnome. They exist almost more as a rules and setting notation that they exist than an actual PC race. Half-Orcs too, but I see the occasional combat-type Half-Orc, just never any non-melee Half Orcs. Half-Orcs exist mostly as NPC cannon-fodder for evil armies in my experience.

Of classes, I see them all at least occasionally, but Paladins are fairly rare because of the strict alignment and RP restrictions, and barbarians are usually found mostly among half-orcs and humans but pretty rare in any other race.

Gnome Paladin or Gnome Barbarian, I'd say. Half-Elf Barbarian isn't very common either, now that I think about it.

I am apparently contrarian...

Foir me it is the Half Orc Wizard. I don't recall ever seeing one played on as an NPC in any of the games I have polayed in.

Allow me to introduce Juna Hillfar, Half Orc Diviner and Head Librarian for the Thesdonian
College of Thaumaturgy and the Arcane Arts... The Books. Do not. Leave the Library...

On the other hand, I've never heard of a half-orc bard (which eats up both of a bard's strengths).

I'm just weird, I guess: One of the FIRST 'named' NPCs in my current campaign (playing in the tavern my wet-behind-the-ears first level PCs first visited - they're currently 12th) was Karan Nock, Half Orc Bard. His Performance style is improvisational, free-form Percussion with elements of dance. If you've seen/heard 'Stomp', you'll have an idea...

I'm not even particularly fond of half Orcs. Mostly humans and halflings...

For my money, I'm with an earlier poster - Gnomish Barbarians. I don't see too many of those...
