Denizens of the Swamp? I had that one, but don't remember that miniature in the set. There was a basilisk and a snake I think.

Yes. I still have the Shambling Mound from that set and this thing wasn't part of it.

Not even a guess?
I'm told by others that it was in a set which had weird monsters including a worm with a javelin riding a bigger worm, and a rocky tentacled monster with digging claws around the base.

As I said, it looks like a casting error. Either that or a lazy sculpt of a metamorphic creature caught between forms.

OK then. Sounds as good an answer as anyone is likely to find.
I'll get back to my mini-painting. And mold making. Working on building molds of several minis not readily available any more (or just some that WotC made extra-difficult to find with their silly base-ball card system).
