What is your current character's core class?

I'm glad you did not include "other" Sigil - it makes the poll more useful.

Okay, I'm not trying to cause an argument over this, but I'm curious about the comment. How does not including "other" on the list make the poll "more useful"? I find this a somewhat curious comment in that WotC itself has released several supplements with non-core classes, thus it seems to be encouraging players to branch out at least a bit. Wouldn't the "Other" option be sensible, then, to register those who have outside interests?

Like I said, I'm not trying to flame -- simply curious.

I voted fighter, though the character is technically a Bbn 1/Ftr 11. Rage is just too good to not stack with a ton of fighter levels.

As to why not including "other" is useful - I guess because it "forces" folks to actually leave a comment rather than just click "other" and leave the thread.

Biggest surprise for me - as of right now, the "four old standards" - fighter, cleric, magic-user (wizard), thief (rogue) have by far the highest vote totals (each is about double any of the other 7 options).

I'll admit, there was one "base" reason I wanted to post the poll - to figure out what class had the largest number of adherents (so that I could tailor my next Shaheen's Scratchpad to that class).

Anyway, it's been interesting, and keep the votes and responses coming! I know your options are limited, and I'm an insensitive clod for doing that, because so many people play variants of the core, but I just want to know what parts of the core (class-wise) get used the most.
