What is Your Favorite IRON DM Entry ?

If only there were enough people talking IRON DM to warant an "IRON DM" message icon like this one:

;)

Anyway, I was wondering for those who have kept up with various IRON DM Tournaments of the past few years, or who have perused the IRON DM Archive Site, which was your favorite(s) (excluding your own and any from the current tourney, of course)?

As I am currently judging a tournament it would be unfair of me to say which were mine, but I am curious about others.

If the entries in question are currently archived please include a link to it, and if not describe it a bit to us.

Have you ever used an IRON DM entry in your own camapign or as a one-shot?

Tell us your stories.

I'm running Star Wars at the moment (first time as GM!) so the IRON DM entries haven't been that useful to me, obviously. But my personal favourites would have to be pretty much anything that Pielorinho entered in the Iron Tapestry, especially the later scenarios, where the campaign reached its climax with the rebirth of Anazal. Awesome stuff, epic as hell, and he still managed to get all the weird ingredients in (yaks, nightclubs and tanglefoot bags in a 19th-20th level adventure!)

I have honestly never read that one. . .

But if Pielorinho did so well, no wonder he volunteered to be the one to archive it. ;)

I don't read the entries only the judgments. Kind of the same reason I watch car races - looking for crashes. Sick I know, but I will wager I am not the only one ;)

Fine, then what's your favorite judgment. . . ;)

The one entry which has always stuck in my mind, included a solitary tower protected by a phase spider or some such beast, and housed ancient decrepit beings that survived off the blood and life energy they leeched from those made captive in some horrifying "garden." I don't recall who wrote the entry (Rune? Wulf Ratbane? Radiating Gnome?) or which tournament it comes from, but that one ranks near the top for me.

I'll peruse the old tourneys at the archive later and post a definitive answer, but the eerie and dark setting mentioned above have stayed with me.

That's mine.

I tend towards the haunting and horrific, often to my detriment.

It's nice to see a fellow gamer who finds that "fun."

Vaxalon

Vaxalon? if i remember correctly, was unbeaten and a 3 time champ or something in the early days before he retired and his entries were always concise and excellent without exception. The recent rounds have sport of seemed watered down as far as quality goes- most of the entries seem to read as one long run on where i loose interest even before the end of the first paragraph.
Wulf, i must say is the exception - i remember one of his early entries with driad, mushroom powder or some such that was excellent.I think there should be an IRON DM champions tourney and someone should talk to Vax about unretiring (also a three judge format would be cool similar to the ceramic DM - seems to balance things more and less hostilities seem to arise).
