• NOW LIVE! Into the Woods--new character species, eerie monsters, and haunting villains to populate the woodlands of your D&D games.

What is your favorite monster?

Hobgoblins. Especially in groups with a few fighter/thief levels. Nothing puts the fear into over confident PCs like a well oiled Hobgoblin fighting machine.

Red & Blue Dragons

Pit Fiends and Balos

Humans. They're mean and gentle, conniving and guileless, deadly and harmless, trustworthy and treacherous...probably the most creative species I've ever seen in any monster book :D

Kobolds. Nothing like chasing a high-lvl party around with garden variety kobolds to put a grin on a DM's face.

Dragons. Never lost one to a PC party yet.

Goblins because I just love to run a whole bunch of dumb, cowardly monsters. They are even more fun when captured and questioned. Even more fun than that is when the PCs agree to let one join the group.

Zombies, because you can put them anywhere and in 3E, they're pretty tough.

Vermin, because there's no reasoning with them and they go with almost everything.

Bulletes and Hobglobins.

Bulletes, cause the are so cool( What is that!? Oh my god, it ate my COW!!!!)

Hobglobins. I love that "strenght and honor" look.

Dragons all the way. They're vast. They can destroy cities, look awesome, and yet pass unnoticed in normal society with their magical abilities (some of them, at least).
