As a player I've always liked the lightly armored, highly mobile fighter-types. The swashbucker and the scout are right up my alley, but I've never had a chance to play them.

I'll tell what I really miss though... a 3rd ed version of my favorite 1st ed. class - the Duelist. Y'know, the lightly armored, quasi-assassin, single combat specialist!

Cheers!

Love the Wilder for it's barely contained psychic power. Every time I see it in the book I just want to scream "TETSUOOOO!".

So it's not just me that thinks that!

Yeah, the Wilder is a great class, although I think I'm prejudiced by how my friend plays his in our Living Arcanis games, he throws himself off the chair whenever he flubs a surge, singing "I'm a little teapot!" or something similarly nonsensical. The idea of a psion who has awesome power but no control or focus is a neat archetype, and the Wilder fills it well.

Warlock, warmage, and psion

Warlocks are just...neat. Unfortunately, with our gaming group getting smaller, I don't have the luxury of playing one, but it's just COOL. I can't wait to gestalt this with rogue and have Demonic Ninja Powerz!

Warmage also rocks. It's like a fighter who uses fireballs instead of a sword. I don't have to think about what spells to take, and it's...it's just beautiful, man. Sure, the downside is that if it doesn't hurt anybody, I can't do it, but that's what the other casters are for.

And psion...I just like the new psionics rules, and love that they're the most flexible blasters in the game.

Marshall isn't on you list but is imho the best of the new core classes as it fills a niche and does cool things no other class does (the Marshall is the leader that inspires others to greatness)

Psychic Warrior is cool because it makes a better Monk, has cool tricks like running up walls and psychic claws and is everything a fighter with mystic powers ought to be

Tonguez, no offense, but could you not use an animated gif in your posts. I find it very distracting to try and read threads that have flashy or animated stuff in them. Maybe set up a page where people can go to see them - it is pretty cool, just... not here. ;)

Cheers!

Hexblade- I love fighter/wizard classes, and I've always wanted a sort of "Arcane Paladin" who combined limited spellcasting and solid fighting with some unique abilities. In my 2e game, I crafted a "Witch Knight" class to fill this role. In 3e, the Hexblade does the same- and much better than previous attempts in third-party books, with one exception, being the...

Mageblade- Another write-in from Arcana Evolved/Unearthed. A high powered spellcaster and solid melee fighter with magical combat enhancements- what's not to like? The best hybrid of the two concepts to date- more of a solid fighter/mage type than the Hexblade, which is more "sword first, spells later".

Marshal- Another write in. I've wanted a leader class- and FFG's "Commander" (from Path of the Sword) wasn't cutting the cheese. This does the job better.

Warlock- Enough said. This guy is generating a serious fanclub!

Witch- Also from AU, the combination of manifestation powers and spells offers all kinds of wild possibilities- no two witches must be alike!

Spirit Shaman- I totally dig. As one friend said, "dude, this is the first class I've seen in 3e that I'd want to play to 20th level!" One of the few of the new main classes that's as interesting as it's AU counterparts.

I really like the Hexblade. Most of his spells are focused on self buffs and his Hitpoints and fighter BAB and ability to wear armour let him stand toe to toe with the most dedicated front line fighters. I added a level of barb and picked up the feat letting me wear medium armour without arcane spell failure. Nothing scarrier than a raging breastplate wearing hexblade with mage armour and truestrike :D

Warlock - this is how sorceres should have been done. My overall favorite. if i have a quibble, it's the alignment restrictions. But I can live with that since it allows so much flavor designed into the invocation choices.

Spirit shaman - love the concept. Much better spontaneous caster feel then favoured soul. Just neat, and as others have said, worth playing to 20th level.

Wilder definattly, This is the closest I've ever seen to how I feel Psionics should be that I've seen in any DND product.

Also all the classes in Arcana Unearthed are outstanding.
