MM is incredible! It's dynamic, have iconic characters of new and old and a great assortment of iconic monsters. It's otherwordly and full of action, everything a monster manual cover should be

I quite like all 3, but what I most like is how they look like they belong together and yet will also be easy to tell apart on the game table.

I like that the PHB focuses on the players
DMG focuses on the villains and locations
MM focuses on the monsters

I'm going to say the MM because it tells a story the longer you look at it & what you notice first. I'm in a discord group where people were commenting about what's going on earlier & everything from the beholder fizzling that spell out to rushing for treasure came up before other smaller details started getting pointed out & discussed

I think MM cover is best but I like all of them.

For the record, I like them all but the back of the DMG is the MOST D&D of them all. It just evokes exploring dark places.

I voted all of them, but the fact that most folks picked the MM, I think partly because of Minsc suggests, that WotC confuses old with iconic. Minsc & Boo Iconic, Drizzt and the Companions of the Hall iconic, the main characters of the War of the Lance Iconic, Elminster Iconic, Strahd Iconic, The Brimstone Angels, Iconic, Everis Cale Iconic, Alice and Dragonbait Iconic, Gale/Wyll/Shadowheart/Lae'zel/Astarion/Karlach/Halsin/Minthara/Jeheira Iconic, etc..., toys from the 70s that sold poorly even back then, not iconic, just old. Not a big enough fan base.

Still like the cover though, looks cool.
