I don't mind them as 'kiddie stuff' (I never really did like them at all...), but what I really find jarring is the fact that they were tearing apart ranks upon ranks of Imperial Troopers. Yes, I know Stormtroopers pose the same threat as a pebble wrapped in cotton, but still... they had Speeder Bikes and AT-ST's! You'd think more than 3 or 4 Ewoks would bite it.

"Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed...."

Yeah, it may seem cheesy that Ewoks are moppping up the forest floor with the Stormtroopers. However, I think it perhaps illustrates the maybe the Imps were so overconfident with their advanced weaponry and such that they thought themselves nearly invincible. I think they never considered the Ewoks to be a threat, until they were proven sorely wrong.

Well it's not like the ewoks were mopping the forest floor with the Imps, their biggest contributions was distracting the Imps long enough for the rebels to get free and provide real resistance.

I LOVED all of the movies.
My favourite is ESB. Then SW: ANH. But I also loved PM and AOTC...there were scenes in both of those movies that made my jaw drop open. The first ten minutes of AoTC, were IMVHO the best in the entire series, bar none. My least favorite, has always been RoTJ. Not sure why since I don't mind the ewoks (don't love them, but, they aren't a complete waste of celluloid.)

Everytime I watch it, I would have prefered Palpatine to kill Luke, and then have Vader go ape-:):):):), do the same to Palps, then open a can of whop-ass on the death star, and have the whole damn thing implode. Then, I wouldn't have to put up with all the crap that came after it in the SW universe. :]

Sorry ... after 20 years I sorta thought this was known...
Hey, give diaglo a break, he's still living in '75, before the movies were even released. ;)

I think it's funny that the Ewoks had so much time to set up a bunch of elaborate traps designed to take out AT-ST's within such a short amount of time. :)

Actually, in the movie them ewoks take out a lot of the Imps, from regular Stormtroopers to the AT-ST's. Chewie does a lot... but with the help of some Ewoks who pilot an AT-ST. Ugh.
The rest of the movie is cool though.

They took out some imps (I don't think it was a lot...), but they were getting killed left and right, hardly what I'd call doing well.

The one real problem with it in my view is them taking out the AT-ST's, those traps are just hard to buy into for a few reasons.
