What is your favorite Wild West RPG?

The Nerd WhoFell to Earth
I've been considering running a wild west RPG but I can't find a system that I like. I'd prefer one that is not very complex so we don't have to learn lots of rules but is complete enough that I (as the GM) won't have to make up any rules on my own.

I already have the Sidewinder d20 rules (which seem a little rules heavy for what I was looking for) and the Shady Gulch rules (which has the right level of simplicity in character creation but the basic mechanic seems overly complex) but neither of them really struck me as ideal.

So what are your favorite wild west RPG and what are the good and bad points to it? Thanks for the help!

The original Deadlands is an excellent game. Some of the mechanics may at first seem baroque, but they actually work quite well in practice, as well as support the games themes.

I prefer Sidewinder Recoiled to Deadlands Reloaded, but they're both a lot of fun. Aces & Eights is gorgeous, but not my preferred style of play.

I picked up Deadlands d20 when it came out and enjoyed it, but didn't get to do much with it. Haven't had the chance to do much else, I'm afraid, so I think my answer would have to be "The one that somebody will actually run!"

Sidewinder Recoiled is the favorite I've played. I haven't had a chance to do anything with Aces and Eights yet though I like how it reads.

Savage Worlds/Deadlands Reloaded if you want something more rules light

Deadlands classic if you want a little more crunch (SW is based off of a simplified version of Deadlands Classic)
