I'll give examples of the poll options:

Fairy tale: fairly obvious
Animal fantasy: The wind in the willows, etc
Arthurian fantasy: obvious
Arabian Nights fantasy: Aladdin, sinbad, etc
Chinoiserie: eastern; chinese, japanese etc
Lost race fantasy: Tarzan, etc
Humorous fantasy: discworld etc
Sowrd and Sorcery fantasy: Conan, Lankhmar etc
Heroic fantasy: Lord of the rings, Shannara etc

i voted for Sword and Socerery, but it was a tough call, i like many of the choices on the list.Heroic fantasy, fairy tales, arthurian, Chinoiserie. Really at one time or another i've wanted to do each and everyone of them as game themes, and enjoy reading materials in each of the catagories as well.

By Crom, I love all of those sub-genres -- or at least the best examples from each sub-genre -- but, like most people here, I ended up choosing Sword & Sorcery as my favorite.

Does anyone still want to see Wind in the Willows d20?

I must say I am a little surprised that Heroic Fantasy isn't leading the poll. I voted Sword & Sorcery myself, but I expected alot more for heroic, especially considering Lord of the Rings falls under that genre.
