Aye, piratical adventurin' be in the blood, as soon as th' grog be settlin' down.

Of this, 'course, I be a purist. Give me the open sea, where a man may whistle an' scratch th' backstays for a favourable course, an' where th' mateys hold to naught but the Code of the Brethren o' th' Coast!

There be an entertainment adventure of some full years which still be worth a passin' o' th' eye, if you catch my meanin'. Search ye most asiduously f'r Flashing Blades! by th' Olde Firme of FGU. Aye, an' tha' was a proper work o' imagination, it was.

Then get ye forth and cast yer eye further 'pon The Sea Hawk and again 'pon Captain Blood, if ye have need of knowin' what the true piratical nature be all about.

DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES!
(lest they be captured 'pon page an' celluloid...)

Me, I play in me homebrew Spelljammer swashbuckling campaign based of tha article in the landlubber magazine, Polyhedron. Ye would not believe how well it works, all me pirate traditions take on whole new meaning in a void, imagine being kell-hauled through a void. And, after your character's been dragged through space and been boarded by the Illithids, and been made to walk the plank by the drow, you can createa pirate PC and really have some salty fun.

Well, gentlemen and ladies, I can't say as I have a proper pirate setting, but my setting does have pirates. Where all they are located has yet to be set, with the exception of the pirates of The Wolf Folk Sea. Who are located generally speaking in The Wolf Folk Sea

Though truth to tell, most any ship upon The Wolf Folk Sea can be a pirate ship, for 'tis a rare merchant above earning some extra gild by relieving the incautious and foolish of their goods.

More details when they become available, over on my blog.

Like me smart-as-paint shipmate, TSL, I'll have to be confessin' to the love of me own creation as well.

Skull & Bones it is fer me, lads. Hell, it's been that way fer me since before there WAS a book fer ye to lay yer acquisitive little mitts on.

...and now, I'll be gettin' back to the best thing about "Talk Like a Pirate Day" for me: Working on the first issue of Buccaneers & Bokor, whilst being constantly immersed in the culture, due to yer fine folks and yer speechifyin'.

Flat seas and full sails,
