What magic items have you sold recently?

So, what have your PCs sold recently?
This is the list of what the group of PC's in one of my games is looking to sell -

1 x Electricity Resistance Light Wooden Shield +1 (nobody wants it, would be most of a character's share of the treasure)
1 x Robe of Resist Energy, Minor (10 Fire) (ditto as above)
1 x +1 Shocking Shortspear (someone may yet take this)
1 x Ring of Mind Shielding (those who might have a need for it, want the gold instead)
1 x +1 Spiked Chain (m) (nobody in the group uses one, no interest from anyone)
1 x +1 Battle-Axe (m) (nobody in the group uses one, no interest from anyone)
1 x +1 Short-Sword (m) (nobody in the group currently wants a medium shortsword+1)
1 x Wand of Darkness (25) (no interest in this from the party spellcasters)
1 x Scroll of lightning bolt (maximised, CL 12) (there was a wand, which a party spellcaster took instead of this)
1 x +1 Studded Leather Armour (m) (no interest in this from any of the medium sized characters, they all wear different armours)
1 x Scroll of Undetectable Alignment (Bard) (no bard in the party)

party level is 9/8, 6 characters, most of the characters are keeping some of the treasure, those looking for gold from sales are looking to use the gold to get the party item creator to make them miscellanous minor items.

I'd take compassion over greed and bloodlust any day... leads to more involved stories. I can always tone down the opposition.

It wasn't hard to handle but it was just funny that the very things the party wanted, they ended up just giving away. They had some great allies and really never asked them for anything. It was just way different then the standard D&D game, I was quite amused.

My last group of PCs didn't sell anything. They gave it away. The gave away a ring of defelction +5, that was the most powerful item I recall. They also gave away a staff of earth and stone and a staff fire. Now, its not like these were spare items, in fact they didn't have any rings that protected them at all, yet they still gave it away. The staffs were given away to a wizard they rescued who didn't have a spellbooks and need to protect himself to travel to safety.

My group has just started on a new module. The first session we defeated several kobolds with class levels. Each of the kobold fighters had +1 scale mail and a +1 short sword. The kobold sorcerer had an amulet of health +2. We kept the amulet for our fighter, who needed the Con boost, and gave all the armor and weapons to the town guard. That's fairly typical of our group - if we can use something, we keep it. If we can't, but someone we know can, we give it away. If neither applies, then we sell it.

The dwarven fighter traded a +2 whip for gauntlets of ogre power.

The rogue wants to trade a dagger of subtlety -- it was once a sword of subtlety for a dark creeper -- plus gauntlets of ogre power for a belt of giant strength +4, so he'll be able to use his composite longbow +1 (+2 Str) to full effect. I'm not ready to have a +4 ability enhancement item in the game yet, so he's not having any luck. The wizard's guild agreed to make one for him, but he balked when he realized it would take 16 days to create. The irony is that I dropped the dagger into the campaign because the party has 2 rogues -- it adds a +4 to hit/damage on sneak attacks -- but neither want to keep it.

The party once traded a +1 shocking flail to an NPC cleric to have their dwarf fighter raised from the dead after a particularly gruelling encouter with an undead cleric of Orcus.

They tend to keep items or use them to pay NPCs. A tiefling shop owner has offered to buy nearly any item they have, but they are beginning to distrust his intentions. They don't want to keep supplying the guy with potent weapons and items.

Accross a few campaigns:

Several masterwork and arcane weapons, usually with relatively minor enhancements.

A potion type the local artificer hadn't seen before

An arrow of dragon slaying (and there's no way that's going to come back to haunt them at all)

A +2 weapon with a decided evil motif that no-one was particularly interested in carrying (see above)

At the moment everyone tends to be in low or mid levels. I've seen much larger transactions as the players hit higher levels.

The EPIC level party of five characters that I have GM'd weekly for almost 4 years who all average level 26 sold about 4 million gp worth of items in the Market Ward of the city of Sigil. They then turned around and bought or arranged to have upgrades to items they wanted improved. This group has around 2 million gp worth of gear each in their possesion and averages around AC 42. More than half the group has donated in excess of half a million gp to their various religious over the lives of the characters. I do place some limits on what can be purchased simply based on trying to maintain the current game balance.

Things I have denied purchased of lately:
Ring of Solar Wings (BED)
Rod of Epic Absorption (EPIC)
Rod of Quicken, Greater (DMG)
Tome of *** [Any Inhernet bonus to an ability score]

Big items sold lately:
Ring of Chaotic Fury (EPIC)
Ring of Universal Energy Protection, Major (Complete Arcane)
Headband of Epic Charisma +8 (EPIC)
Bracers of Armor +8 (DMG)

My current PC is fourth level and still hasn't received a single magic item. In our party of 5 there is only one magic weapon, and 1 magic ring. We're pretty much headed for the boneyard IMO. Maybe I'll retire my character before that, adventuring probably isn't his cup of tea anyway. He could make more money swindling the locals.

We're playing through the 3E Adventure Path, just finished Nightfang Spire. Among other bits of useless junk, we've sold Bracers of Armor +1 in such great quantities that I suspect they've become a currency of their own. The next denomination up from platinum, I guess - any day now I expect to go trade in some expensive piece of loot nobody can use for something more practical, and receive my change in Bracers of Armor +1.

Previously :
+1 corrosive dagger
+1 steel shield
wand of hold person 42ch
Mw Hand x-box
+3 full plate (my full plate is +2 crafted by my temple and covered in runes (decoration)
....no way am I giving up a suit personally crafted for a +1 AC bump
Dire fail +2/+1
+2 Rapier

Looking for buyers:
+ 2 chain shirt
+ 1 ring of protection
gloves of arrow snaring
gloves of swiming and climbing
Rod of thunder and lighting
Bracers + 3 armor
3 potions of inflict moderate wounds

Huh I thought the lists would be longer...

Well, looking at the list above (and excluding trades, gifts, and epic stuff) a Magic Shop might have the following inventory.

Armor
Two enchanted bucklers
Stack of +1 chain shirts
+1 Studded Leather Armour
Bracers of Armor +1 (lots apparently)
+1 steel shield
+3 full plate

Weapons
Mw Hand x-box
Dire fail +2/+1
+2 Rapier
+1 longspear
+2 bastard sword
+1 Shocking Shortspear
Arrow of dragon slaying
+2 weapon of evil motif
+1 Spiked Chain
+1 Battle-Axe
+1 Short-Sword
+1 corrosive dagger

Other
Ring of mind shielding
Ring of Mind Shielding
Rod of flame extinguishing
Electricity Resistance Light Wooden Shield +1
Robe of Resist Energy, Minor (10 Fire)
Wand of Darkness (25)
Scroll of lightning bolt (maximised, CL 12)
Scroll of Undetectable Alignment (Bard)
wand of hold person 42ch

Looking at this list I might draw a few conclusions:

1) Buyers are only interested in weapons that they can use or prefer to use.
2) Same for armor. Also you wont find much in the way of enchanted medium armor.
3) The ring of mind shielding may be overpriced as it is the only item to appear twice (barring items sold in lots).
