I am playing a 6th level sorcerer currently. I have about 2000 gp to spend. I can get some gold lent to me by characters. Does anyone have recommendations as to what magic items I could purchase and do well with? I was thinking of two simple things...hat of disguise or a metamagic rod (extend spell).
The hat of disguise (1800 gp) would serve any purpose for humanoid disguise, but also would routinely be used to hide my cloak of resistance with choas symbols (which draws much suspicion from just about everyone).
The metamagic rod (3000 gp) providing extend spell feat 3/day has obvious advantage for my mage armor and haste spells at this time, was well as some future attack spells.
I like both because they don't run out of their power.
Or should I simply purchase several scrolls, potions, etc.?
I have the following in my team: dwarf barbarian, human rogue (thief), human wizard/rogue (aristocratic), litoran fighter, and human cleric of Kord.
Thoughts?
