What modules have triggered an emotional reaction in you?

Thought came after reading this interview over at Gamespot. So which modules/campaigns have been most 'emotionally rich' to you?

Without a doubt, my Hollowfaust campaign. The players rocked, the interactions were great and we just had fun.

Believe it or not, Cleric's Challenge II. Everything just went perfect.

Our most exciting moments came in Of Sound Mind. It turned out to be an Indiana Jones-thrill for the players.

Most emotional? I can't pin down a single moment. I've had players close to tears on one occasion (an NPC gave his life to save the party) in a .pdf adventure called Test of Olduvae.

I think the credit for such emotional events go to the players, not myself. I simply frame a story and they breathe life (and emotion) into it.

Do you mean published stuff only, Krug?

A lot of Ravenloft adventures have triggered an emotion in me - frustration. There's only so much time you can waste figuring out what sequence of action you need to take to kill this specific vampire before you get really hacked off. So to speak.

Oh man, Ravenloft...how could I forgot. Two adventures: The Created..and Neither Man Nor Beast really put a sense of dread into my players. Of course, these did not feature vampires.

I'm glad Ravenloft has been updated to 3.5 :) Now we just need some new adventures.

Ok then, lessee.

A Masque of the Red Death adventure had me really nervous - some creepy old guy kept wandering the halls of the orient Express with a cane - 'tap... tap... tap'. Corny, but made me sweat just a little.

In a fantasy adventure, the ranger/bounty hunter/constable/adventurer who had saved my character from gaol and certain sodomy at the hands of a depraved baron got killed by a troll warlock, securing my escape. I was fairly gloomy about that, until he turned up, beaten but alive. I can remember a palpable feeling of happiness about that. (GM's, take note: the old chestnut of haivng NPCs just constantly doing nice things for the PCs to earn their trust works!

Ravenloft.

My players ran away. My paladin renounced his paladinhood. Terrible things ensued and they loved every single minute of it.

As a player Hudson City Blues for Dark Champions was my favorite.
