What monster killed your first PC?

My first character is technically still alive also. He's a 5th level Sorcerer and has been stuck in a mammoth cave system since the DM decided he really didn't want to play anymore. Its OK...all the other PCs were dead by this time. It was only me and my squirrel familiar.

My first character was a Second Edition elven mage, who was killed in the second game session when a whale was dropped on top of him. The whale was summoned and dropped by our druid's floating carp compainion.

My first dead PC was a first level halfling (1e - so be default a thief).
He went into a tavern full of elves and boasted of how he could outshoot any elf with a bow, and these elves weren't all they were cracked up to be.
A few drinks later his boasts became louder and more obnoxious.
The rest of the party found him in the morning riddled with elf arrows.

Sahuagin.

The PCs were on a ship and were attacked by numerous sahuagin, who boarded the ship from all sides. During the battle, my character was pinned to the mast with a trident, and died. After the sahuagin had fled our ship, the surviving PCs threw my dead PC overboard.

"He's dead." Ker-splash.

Hmm....white dragon. Human rogue9/ranger1/cleric1/crusading footpad2(3E,not 3.5). Going through the Against the Giants setting. Got to the Froste Giant caves. Im scouting ahead when white dragon flies between me and party. I screw up a hide check while the rest of the party stay back.....full attack on the rogue. I have 105 HP. He does 107. Im at neg 2 in 1 round. Invisi ranger tries to run up and heal me...forgetting that hes already hurt and dragons have blindsight. He gets attacked as well while casting(didnt cast defensively bcuz he was invisi). He goes down. Cleric grabs Paladin and Planeshifts. Wizard grabs Fighter and Teleports. Our bodies are left there for the dragon.

We didnt play that game again. The DM had been getting worse and worse...then when one player brought in his new wife, the DM was acting sexist towards her(alternating between condescending and acting like she should know everything...afterall, her husband played and knew it all). So we kicked out the DM. Never went back to the game. someone else DMed after that....ive had 2 other characters die since then, a sun elf wizard(to a beholders death eye ray), and a half sea elf cleric(too many enemy fighters, or so im told, i wasnt there that game, they ran my character....3 of the party members died, the other three ran with enough body parts to reincarnate....i became a FULL sea elf cleric.....but now female. :P)

As a DM, I havent killed anyone....yet. then again, ive only run 2 games, neither of which has gone more than 4 sessions(current one is at 4 right now....

Despite playing the game for over ten years now, and almost never DMing, I actually didn't have a character die on me until losing two in the most recent campaign (most recently last week, and before that a few months ago).

Ryal d'Orien fell victim to a mind flayer sorcerer who was holed up in Xen'drik with a bunch of minions. We kept assaulting his stronghold, running into something that we couldn't handle, and coming back, despite losing three of the four PCs in the process (one stayed around as a ghost).

My 1st pc death was about 20 years ago. It was very first character, and I was playing a wizard. Well after the 1st round of combat with a group of goblins, they decided I was the biggest threat and speared my poor (1 hp) wizard into oblivion.

My first character died before I even finished making him. Fearless was waiting for his turn when attacked by Ghouls. Died, returned, and was killed again by party members. What an intro to DnD.
