Expanded detail on what the creature is like, habits and habitat. Details to make the creatures able to be used as more 3 dimensional creatures instead of most of the description be about their combat special abilities. Of all the monster books I really like Monsternomicon the most because of the level of detail they have.

After reading this thread, I think I'll have to scrape up some pennies and go get the Tome of Horrors now. Here all this time I had ignored it, not fully aware that it was a monster book, and even if I had known that, I'm not sure it would have drawn my interest, as I don't even use nearly that many monsters from the 4 monster books I have. But what has decided me, or should I say, the most decisive factor, is:

grippli

Gotta have the freaky lil frog men.

i'd love to have more of the ecology/society stuff in there, a la 2E. :) WotC doesn't seem to care much about it though, and the other d20 books tend to follow suit. when i do my conversions, i try to keep as much of that stuff in there as i can without bogging it down with details. if it got edited out when it saw print, i couldn't help that. :o

Awwww, sucks. You're just sayn' that because there is a monster in there called the Demiurge. ;)

All silliness aside, thanks for the compliment on the originals. I hope they give your players many hours of fear and loathing. :D
That was easily the coolest little surprise when I finally got my copy. Keep up the good work.
Perhaps more cryptids could get into print, like the death worm did.

Demiurge out.

That's why I think we need to see that stuff in there, to set the books apart. I say that stuff in Monsternomicon and I bought it then and there.

Funny story about that ... lol. I had no idea that the Death Worm in the Tome was actually a beefed up version of my "Mongolian Death Worm" that I did for my Call of Cthulhu site. Then I noticed my name in the credit section and was like, "Well lookee there!" lol
