What movies don't get watched by enough people?

Oh man Wombat, fantastic choices! I think Kind Hearts & Coronets is probably Alec Guinness' most outstanding achievements as an actor.

I've never seen Cold Feet, but with its inclusion in that list I think I'm going to have to check it out.

Dog Soldiers/Ginger Snaps -- two great werewolf movies, two totally different cinema experiences. Dog Soldiers is a tense actioner with great fight scenes and desperate battles for survival. Ginger Snaps is a hilarious (but tension-filled) teen angst picture with liberal doses of gore. Both are deserving of wider recognition.

More very good choices, but then, I always liked werewolves. Barsoom, have you seen Gingersnaps 3? (AKA Ginger Snaps Back) Unfortunately I missed it at Fantasia this year due to some personal crap that was going on at the time and was wondering if it lives up to the first two installments.

"The Blood of Heroes" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094764/

It was apparently originally released as "The Salute of the Jugger" and is some 14 minutes longer. Anyone see that version?
I think this version is (or was) available in Australia. I recall the only time I've seen part of it was one time when my friend Tiff and I visited another friend's house, and found her asleep (it was 3 a.m., to be fair) but her boyfriend awake, watching The Salute of the Jugger.

The amusement factor, at the time, was that Max Fairchild (Gonzo, if that was indeed the "principled bad-guy champion" character) is best-known in Australia as the face of Beaurepaires Tyres in a series of funny ads, and that in the New Zealand version of the ads the character is played by a different actor - who was a regular substitute teacher at my high school.

To add two of my own choices:

The Devil's Advocate, which is not only my favourite film but also remarkable for being the first (of two, so far) in which Keanu Reeves actually acts. Against Charlize Theron and Al Pacino, he holds his own, which is bloody remarkable. I love the story and the ending is killer - from Mary Ann's hospitalisation to the final frames, it doesn't let up.

The Gift, which is the second of Keanu's two acting performances. It's surprising that, given the prominent cast, this film doesn't get more attention. Think about it: it features one of the lead actors from Dawson's Creek, the star of The Matrix, Galadriel, a host of other fairly prominent actors, and it was directed by the guy responsible for The Evil Dead and Spider-Man! It's really quite solid, and too often overlooked.

Also if you haven't seen "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead" go rent it now.Very funny, thought provoking movie with Tim Roth, Gary Oldman and Richard Dryfuss (sp?)

I really can't think of anything that is bad for children to see, I don't know if the story is geared for them but I would not view it as innapropriate.

Tom Waits, Sally Kirkland, Bill Pullman, Keith Carridine, Rip Torn and high fashion footwear. Doesn't get much odder and funnier than this

Have not yet seen Ginger Snaps 3 but fully intend to. Period drama werewolf Canadiana.

Word on Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. That is some fine directing n' acting.

Also The Gift. Cate Blanchett is awe-inspiring.

Oh, and Wombat, if you liked Highway 61, have you seen Roadkill, Bruce McDonald's first feature? It's very odd but lots of fun.

And another big honking vote for Jesus de Montreal. Not sure it counts as a movie nobody's seen (Jury Prize at Cannes and an Oscar nomination), but I love it too much to say no.

I Like this thread, its reminding me of movies I really liked but haven't seen in a while.

Big Thumbs up for the following that others have mentioned
Leap of Faith
Dog Soldiers
Blood of Heroes
Tremors 1 & 2

Now for a few others that have come to mind
Puppet Master (not the scifi, the horror pic)
In the Mouth of Madness
Cast a Deadly Spell
Romeo is Bleeding
Four Rooms
Witch Hunt
Dead Calm
Let it Ride
Zelig

There's a big list being built here. Korgan ought to collect them (complete with links) and add them to the first post as a running total. :)
