Wanted to add...

Something I would like to see is class abilities you acquire every few levels (maybe every 4?) that actually help your allies more than yourself. Something similiar to the Bard. Where the Bard can inspire courage, and everyone gets a +1 to hit and damage. Just as an example, I imagine something like a Fighter ability where he does a special maneuver and deals damage, and then also lowers the targets spell resistance for one round. This allows the Fighter to do his thing (deal damage) and help out party members (spellcasters). I think this would encourage teamwork.

They already have an example of this in PHB2 with the Ranger's alternate ability Distracting Shot. When they hit with a melee or ranged weapon, the target is considered flanked by the Ranger for 1 round or until he is attacked. This doesn't help the Ranger out much (he still gets to deal damage) but it helps out the party (+2 to hit) and especially those with Sneak Attack!

Just something I'd like to see...

The one thing I didn't see in the poll I would like to see for 4th Ed is Co-Op casting rules. I am sure there are some but to be honest I think it is an element of the spell casters that needs mentioned more.

NB1: Great Poll!

NB2: But you left "Ranger" off

Thanks and yes, it was the one unintended omission. I would have also liked to see how it did compared to paladin, druid, and barbarian (I don't think there is any question it would have done worse then the "core 4").

Classes (specifically: the core four).
Races (specifically: human, dwarf, elf).
Levels (and the xp that goes with them).
Six abilities, from 3-18.
Monsters (at least the humanoids, giants, undead, and fiends).
Treasure (gems/gold and magic items of some sort).
A big honking spell list.
Lots of weapons (including polearms) and armor.

Those are all required.
