That's the big one. :)

That said, when forced by the poll to look at it... I found that certain races/classes/fluff were FAR more important to me than any of the mechanical concerns that seem to be dominating discussion.

I don't know if they are trying to do away with it, or just make scaling smoother. ie, Charecters can still wail on other charecters (or monster eq.) a couple levels lower, things just won't get quite as quirky for those higher level charecters.

Of course, I vagualy remember promises of better higher level play for 3ed.
