Me and some fellow gamers were talking the other day. What qualifies a pc for sainthood out of the exalted deeds book?
Well I think it depends on the situation.
Some think it should be reserved for epic.
There was numerious opinions on the situation.
I was just wanting some other peoples opinions on it.
Feel free to really get into. >:)

A lifelong servitude to good, even at he expense of yourself. A character who not only consistently risks his own hide to save the party, but also to save total strangers. That's just a start.

Well, let talk about a realistic time frame here.
Like that maybe be all and well for a game that last a couple of years, or if you acctualy play enough to cover a life time of a character.
But say you have a game and you want to leave that open as an option to your pc's. But you only plan for this game to run 6-7 months and you play once a week. And you do not want the characters to have all that history of good deeds as background for their characters (all thought they have lead very good lives up till now but nothing exalted yet). And you want them to earn this in character. What then?

That sort of scenario simply does not leave open the option of sainthood unless some very specific adventures are set up to give multiple opportunites to prove oneself worthy.
