I'm playing a Night Elf, a modified race for my friend's Iron Kingdoms campaign. They're pale-skinned, typically with dark hair. Kind of like Lusiphur from the Poison Elves comics.

Do your ears present a problem when walking through doors? :D

I've got 5 characters in my FR campaign:

4 Humans
1 Half-elf

However, now that Savage Species is out and with Races of Faerûn on the way, that's probably gonna change.

As for the rest of my party we have a copper half-dragon, a dragon permenantly polymorphed into a human (don't ask), an elf, a gnome, three humans, and a cansin (chaotic planetouched).

I play a human Barbarian/Sorcerer, an Ogier in a Wheel of Time campaign and have played a Half-Orc Paladin who died :(

I generally prefer humans (even in 1E!) and was always dismayed when I would be the only human in my gaming group of 7. One of the best things they did in 3E was make the human an attractive race again from a players stand point.

I really disagree that they encourage 'munckins' (whatever those are  ) one feat, the multiclass thing and some skill points hardly overpower a race, especially compared to stuff like Darkvision, save bonuses, size bonuses, magic immunities, free spells etc.

These days, Human is the clear winner, I think, with Elves running a close second, in the games I play in.

these days i'm a playa.

but of the 11 of us from the Story Hour (with their ENWorld names).

1 gnome (reichtfeld), 1 halfling (the Jester), 1 dwarf (Froof), 2 elves (biorph and Angelsboi's man), 1 half-elf (diaglo), and 5 humans (Angelsboi, the only one i know on these boards)

(Olgar Shiverstone is the DM)

we have lost 2 humans and 1 elf to Real World concerns. their characters are in limbo in the game. and the halfling was just visiting on his Round the Country tour. :D

I keep trying to play an elf. I write in half elf, and I smile, knowing I'm finally going to play a half elf. Then, I start character creation. I write in my class, and I move on to skills. Suddenly, I'm like, "hmm, I only need one more skill, its only four more skill points." I put off the urge, then, though. I continue on to feats. I pick my -one- feat. I frown. I'm like "where is my other feat?" Next thing I know, I'm erasing the "half elf" and writing in "human." Sad, but true.

I picked Elf only because my Gnome Paladin bit it recently. So now I am playing one of the DM's NPCs, who happens to be an Elf Paladin.
