What Race Do You Usually Play?

Though I haven't played him lately, I voted half-orc (favorite character).

A plurality of my characters have been human.

I have a fondness for dwarves but have only played one as a PC in a single game session.

I also like the story potential for Half-Orcs and Half-Ogres - the character I get to actually *play* most often is a Half-Ogre that I am quite fond of.

I've played one half-elf, as well - my first D&D character, but I wish I had chosen something else.

Let's see, my characters have been a moon elf, svirfneblin, human (Illuskan), wood elf, human (Vaasan) and air genasi. No real preference other than roleplaying curiousity in my choices.

Last time I was in a game where I had a choice of races, I chose dworph. (No, not dwarf.)

Currently, in various games, I play: Human, Dwarf, Human, Half-Elf, Human. That averages out to Human. I've also played Elf and Gnome since 3.0 came out.
Plus others I'm no doubt forgetting.
Plus, I DM a bunch.

I didn't vote: too many choice, it doesn't make sense to me to differentiate between hill dwarves and mountain dwarves. Then, I still cannot fathom what a "Flumph" is.

I generally play humans.
I hate gnomes; I often played halflings in the past, but not anymore; I never play elves; I did play half-elves once or twice; I never played dwarves although I like the concept; I did play a half-orc once for roleplaying reasons, but don't like this race as for me it is the weakest D&D race.

most often I play humans but I have played every race in the PHB with the exception of Gnomes... I dispise them. Humans tend to be nice and versitile praticularly if I plan on multiclassing. Extra skill points don't hurt either praticularly if playing a fighter or somone else who gets lousy skill points per level.

I generally DM. In the last campaign in which I was a player, I began as an elf and finished as a dwarf (due to the elf's death, not magic - or surgery!)

Wow. It would be wise for companies thinking about making racial 'spatbooks' to look at these results.

We certainly are suckers for an extra feat and some extra skills, eh? Would the poll results read the same if every race got two feats at first level?
