Right?The Palladium RPG (later renamed to Palladium Fantasy). The first edition is kind of rough around the edges, but it's still largely its own thing. The later editions/printings tried to shoehorn the whole Megaversal system in there, and I hate them for that.
Also, talking about the Palladium system in generally, Valley of the Pharaohs remains my favorite iteration of that system. Though, somewhat amusingly, even way back then, they didn't explicitly tell you how to make a skill roll (something they STILL don't do, or didn't the last time I checked).
Nothing.As someone who’s only read and run Mongoose Traveller 2e, what makes it lesser in comparison?
- Traveller: Classic is still my favourite, but Mongoose 2nd is close and I would use it for some groups and purposes. To me, all the intermediate editions (and T5) are blatantly inferior
